STOCH (%K)(5,3,3)
STOCH (%K) (5,3,3) – a stochastic oscillator with 5,3,3 settings. It shows the current price’s position relative to the price range over the selected period. It is used to identify overbought and oversold conditions, as well as potential trend reversal points. The values (5,3,3) denote the parameters: 5 – the %K calculation period, 3 – the %K smoothing period (the %D line), and 3 – the %D smoothing period.

ema
EMA – Exponential Moving Average. Shows the average price of an asset over a specific period, giving greater weight to recent price data, which makes it more sensitive to recent changes and better reflects the current trend than SMA does. It helps smooth out price fluctuations, identify market direction (bullish or bearish), and determine potential support and resistance levels.

hma
HMA – Hull Moving Average. A fast and smooth indicator designed to minimize the lag of traditional moving averages (SMA, EMA). It is used to more accurately and timely determine the trend direction and possible price reversal points. It is calculated based on a combination of weighted moving averages and special smoothing, which allows it to remain sensitive to market changes without an excessive number of false signals.

In addition to ADA’s technical analysis, pay special attention to the following metrics:

  1. Staking Participation Rate. About 60–65% of all ADA tokens are staked – this is one of the highest rates among major blockchains. A high staking rate means fewer coins are available to the broader market, which in turn can drive price increases (or at least support the price). If the staking percentage drops, it signals that coin holders are preparing to sell.
  2. TVL in DeFi. TVL in DeFi protocols on Cardano is approximately $140–145 million. Key protocols include Minswap, SundaeSwap, Liqwid Finance, and Lenfi. TVL indicates how much real money is in the ecosystem. The higher this metric, the greater the demand for ADA. A rise in TVL is a leading indicator for price growth, while a decline in TVL is a contrary signal.
  3. Number of active addresses and transactions. On-chain activity (the number of active unique addresses and daily transaction volume) reflects the actual usage of the network. Growth in these metrics alongside a stable or rising price is a positive signal for growth. Price growth not supported by increased activity is speculative growth. Cardano consistently ranks in the top 10 for daily transactions among L1 blockchains.
  4. Partnerships and Real-World Adoption. Cardano is actively expanding in Africa (a digital ID project in Ethiopia) and is also an active participant in the trend toward the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). Institutional partnerships and pilot projects are powerful long-term drivers of price appreciation. Historically, every confirmed major partnership has triggered a 15–30% jump in the price of ADA.
  5. Ranking and Competition. ADA consistently ranks in the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, competing with Solana, Avalanche and Polkadot. A drop in ranking is a potential sell signal, as institutional funds and ETF providers focus on the top 10. The relative performance of ADA/BTC and ADA/ETH shows whether capital is flowing into Cardano or shifting to competitors.
